We often get questions about the dumpster rental services we provide in the Abilene, TX area. Here are a list of several questions to help you make the decisions on dumpsters that are right for you!

Q
What is a roll-off dumpster?
AA roll-off dumpster, often simply referred to as a “roll-off,” is a large, open-top waste container designed for temporary use in waste disposal and removal. It gets its name from the way it is delivered and removed from a location using a roll-off dumpster truck which includes the proper equipment to roll-off the dumpster then lift it back onto the truck bed. Roll-off dumpsters are commonly used for various purposes, including construction, renovation, demolition, home cleanouts, and other projects that generate a significant amount of waste or debris.
Q
My friends tell me that roll-off dumpsters are expensive, what gives?
A

Here at Thornton’s Dumpster Rentals we offer affordable pricing and great on-time service! We strive to be the absolute best at what we do. We have no-hassle pricing with no hidden costs or fees like other dumpster rentals. We routinely talk to customers who have previously used other small companies with small dumpsters only to end up paying two to three times the cost they originally estimated due to the dumpster not being big enough to handle all their junk. We offer same day delivery based on availability.

We don’t charge a daily rate as long as you have the dumpster for less than 5 days!

Q
What sizes of dumpsters to you have?
A

We have three sizes, all have rear opening gates:

  • 20-Yard Dumpster: Ideal for smaller residential cleanouts, renovation projects, or garage clean-ups. 20 feet long x 8 feet wide X 4 1/2 feet tall.
  • 30-Yard Dumpster: Perfect for mid-sized construction projects, office cleanouts, or large-scale home renovations. 20 feet long x 8 feet wide x 6 feet tall.
  • 40-Yard Dumpster: Suited for major construction or demolition projects, commercial renovations, or large-scale cleanups. 20 feet long x 8 feet wide x 8 feet tall.
Q
How long can I rent a dumpster?
A

You can use it for as long as you need based on our agreed upon quote.

Q
Are you insured?
AYes. We are insured. It’s important that you partner with a dumpster service that is fully insured.
Q
What happens if I overfill?
A

Well, your rental will cost you more. Landfill and transportation regulations require that the load inside the dumpster be level with the top of the dumpster. There can’t be debris higher than the top edge of the dumpster bin.

Undoubtedly, the primary concern is safety. Just picture the fear that would ensue if you were driving along the road and witnessed garbage spilling from the vehicle in front of you. Moreover, our hook lift system functions by elevating the dumpster onto the truck at an incline. If you remember the basic principles of science, you understand how gravity impacts unsecured objects. This scenario could lead to harm not only to our equipment but also to your driveway and your property
